YORK® product
YORK® Fan-Powered Humidifier
The fan-powered humidifier adds its own blower to push 18 gallons per day of moisture into your duct system — stronger, more consistent humidity delivery than a bypass unit, without depending on furnace runtime alone. Optional automatic controls manage it hands-free. A fit for larger Leander-area homes where a bypass unit can't keep up.

Factory-authorized
YORK® Fan-Powered Humidifier
The fan-powered humidifier adds its own blower to the whole-home humidifier formula: a built-in fan moves warm air across the water panel and delivers up to 18 gallons of moisture per day into your ducts — stronger, more consistent output than a bypass unit, and less dependent on long furnace cycles to do its work.
That independence matters in larger homes and in our climate specifically: Central Texas furnaces run in short bursts, and a bypass humidifier only works during those bursts. The fan-powered unit keeps delivery up even with modest heating runtime, which is why it's our default recommendation once square footage climbs.
York's optional automatic control monitors indoor relative humidity and adjusts the set point without your involvement. It installs on your existing HVAC ducting and carries the Good Housekeeping Seal.
Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits
- Larger Leander-area homes where a 12–17 GPD bypass unit can't hold the target humidity.
- Homes with short heating cycles that starve bypass units of runtime.
- Owners protecting wood floors, trim, and instruments through dry winter fronts.
Warranty
- York: 5-year parts limited warranty.
- MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.
York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.
From the field
Owning this system in Central Texas
Same one-panel-per-season routine as the bypass unit, plus a quick check of its dedicated fan. The automatic control is worth having: it tracks indoor relative humidity through our whiplash winter fronts so you're not chasing the dial every cold snap.
Because its fan runs independently, it keeps delivering during mild spells when the furnace barely cycles — the exact condition that defeats bypass units. If your home gave a bypass humidifier trouble keeping up, this is the direct fix.
Sizing guidance from our installs: the 18 GPD output comfortably serves homes in the 2,500–3,500 square-foot range typical of newer Leander builds, with headroom for tall ceilings and open plans that raise the effective air volume. Beyond that — or for homes with non-forced-air heating — the steam unit is the honest recommendation, and we'll say so rather than sell you two of these.
