YORK® product

YORK® HMH7

The HMH7 is York's side-discharge inverter heat pump: it ramps smoothly to avoid energy spikes, runs about 40% more compact than standard units, and its fan design keeps operation notably quiet. One system heats and cools — close to ideal for Central Texas, where summers are long and winters short. We install it factory-authorized, sized by Manual J, quoted flat-rate.

YORK® HMH7

The HMH7 is York's side-discharge inverter heat pump: one compact outdoor unit that heats and cools, modulating between 35% and 100% of capacity to match the moment's load. For Central Texas — eight months of cooling, a short mild winter — a right-sized heat pump is close to the ideal single-system answer, and the HMH7 delivers it in a cabinet about 40% smaller than a standard unit.

The inverter-driven twin-rotary compressor ramps smoothly instead of hard-starting, which steadies temperatures, trims energy spikes, and extends component life. The side-discharge fan design keeps sound as low as 54 dBA and needs only about eight inches of setback, so it tucks along a fence line or under a deck where conventional units can't go.

Rated up to 18 SEER cooling and up to 10.5 HSPF heating, it works with ordinary thermostats — no communicating control required — which keeps the install simple and the price grounded.

Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits

  • Zero-lot-line and tight-side-yard homes that need serious capacity in a small footprint.
  • All-electric households consolidating heating and cooling into one efficient system.
  • Owners who want inverter smoothness and quiet without communicating-system complexity.

Warranty

  • York: 10-year compressor limited warranty and 10-year parts limited warranty (with registration).
  • MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.

York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.

From the field

Owning this system in Central Texas

Heat pump ownership in Central Texas is mostly a cooling story with a heating bonus — the HMH7 will spend perhaps ten times as many hours cooling as heating here. Keep the side-discharge outlet clear (18 inches of free blow-through) and the coil rinsed, and it will hold its ratings.

Because it heats electrically, we'll talk honestly about backup heat during the quote: for most of our winters the HMH7 alone covers the load, and right-sized electric strips cover the rare hard freeze. Oversizing the strips 'to be safe' is a common industry habit that just raises your demand charges.
