The Hx is York's Wi-Fi touchscreen thermostat: a 2.8-inch touchscreen control that connects to any communicating or conventional York system and brings remote access, scheduling, and staging logic matched to the equipment. It's the control we spec when you want smart features without the larger Hx3 panel.
The useful parts are practical: control from your phone, tablet, or Apple Watch; voice control through Amazon Alexa; automatic over-the-air updates; and optional service alerts that — with your permission — let our office see a fault remotely before rolling a truck. Programmable schedules do the quiet work of trimming runtime you don't need.

Owning this system in Central Texas
Enable the service-alert feature and grant dealer access if you're comfortable with it: it lets us see fault conditions remotely, which regularly turns a diagnostic visit into a phone call. You control the permission and can revoke it any time.
After any Wi-Fi router change, re-join the thermostat promptly — a disconnected Hx keeps running your last schedule fine, but silently stops delivering updates and alerts, which defeats half of what you bought.
Choosing between the Hx and the Hx3 is mostly about the system it runs: on fully communicating variable-capacity equipment the Hx3 is the right brain, while the Hx covers two-stage and conventional systems with the same app and scheduling at a smaller footprint. We'll match the control to the equipment rather than defaulting to the most expensive screen.
