YORK® JHET
The JHET is York's single-piece air handler with a standard fixed-speed ECM blower — in practice a low/medium/high motor that pairs with single-stage and two-stage outdoor equipment while using far less electricity than an old PSC motor. It's the sensible indoor match for the middle of York's lineup.
York packed the serviceability in: a compact 21-inch cabinet depth for tight attic access, a factory-installed TXV with bolt-on (no-braze) connectors, toolless filter access, and an integrated duct flange. Cabinets are factory-sealed to 2% or less air leakage, and the MaxAlloy coil rides in a sloped composite drain pan — the right details for humid Central Texas attic and closet installs.
When we set a JHET we select the blower speed against your measured duct static, then verify airflow at the registers. "It blows cold" is not a commissioning standard.

Owning this system in Central Texas
The JHET's toolless filter access means there's no excuse for a neglected filter — and in a Texas attic install, the filter is doing double duty protecting the coil from construction dust and insulation fibers. We set a reminder cadence with you at install.
Its standard ECM motor has fixed speed taps we select at commissioning. If you later change ductwork, add returns, or install a media air cleaner, have us re-verify the tap selection — airflow set for the old configuration quietly costs efficiency in the new one.
Where it sits in the line: it's the value ECM step above the PSC-powered AP and below the variable-speed JHVT. If your outdoor unit is single-stage, the JHET is the matched tier; if two-stage equipment is in the plan, spending the difference on the JHVT protects the humidity-control benefit you're buying outside.
