YORK® product
YORK® JHVT
The JHVT brings communicating control to the JH air-handler platform, letting the blower coordinate directly with compatible York outdoor units and thermostats for smoother, quieter airflow ramps. It's the indoor pairing we reach for on communicating two-stage systems where full variable-capacity hardware isn't in the budget. Installed factory-authorized and quoted flat-rate.

Factory-authorized
YORK® JHVT
The JHVT upgrades York's single-piece JH platform to a variable-speed ECM blower with communicating capability. Instead of fixed speed taps, the motor ramps smoothly across its range — quieter starts, longer gentle cycles, and airflow that can track a two-stage or communicating outdoor unit stage for stage.
That tracking is the point. A two-stage condenser on low with a blower stuck on high moves too much air across the coil, which kills humidity removal — the exact thing you bought two-stage for. The JHVT lets the indoor airflow drop with the outdoor stage, so the low-stage hours that dominate a Central Texas year actually deliver their comfort benefit.
It shares the JH platform's practical bones: compact casing, factory TXV, sealed sub-2% cabinet, MaxAlloy coil, and plug-and-play electric heat kits.
Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits
- Two-stage systems (YXT, YZT) where matched variable airflow unlocks the humidity-control benefit you're paying for.
- Owners who want communicating diagnostics and quiet ramped airflow without the full constant-CFM AVV price.
- Homes where the air handler lives near bedrooms — variable-speed operation is audibly gentler.
Warranty
- York: 10-year parts limited warranty (with registration).
- MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.
York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.
From the field
Owning this system in Central Texas
Run communicating where the outdoor unit supports it: the JHVT's airflow will then track stages automatically, and its fault reporting joins the system's shared diagnostics. On conventional wiring we can still program airflow profiles — you lose the self-configuration, not the variable-speed comfort. Either way, the motor's continuous low-speed circulation mode is worth enabling: constant gentle filtration and air mixing for pennies a day.
The gentle ramp-up masks developing duct leaks better than a fixed-speed blower would, so trust measurements over ears: our maintenance static-pressure check is how a JHVT system tells you the ductwork needs attention before the bills do.
Where it sits in the line: it's the single-piece counterpart to the modular JMVT and the variable-speed step up from the JHET. Pick it when your mechanical space takes a one-piece cabinet and your outdoor equipment is two-stage or communicating — that combination is where its airflow tracking stops being a spec and starts being felt comfort.
