YORK® product
YORK® TL8E
The TL8E is York's entry single-stage furnace in the standard-efficiency (80% class) line — a straightforward, budget-first heater for our short Central Texas winters, where an ultra-high-efficiency premium can take a long time to pay back. We'll give you that payback math honestly rather than upsell efficiency you won't use, and quote the install flat-rate.

Factory-authorized
YORK® TL8E
The TL8E is York's ultra-low-NOx single-stage furnace in the 80% AFUE class — advanced burner technology cuts nitrogen-oxide emissions to meet the strictest California standards, packaged in York's compact 33-inch LX cabinet with a standard-efficiency ECM blower. It exists for buyers who need or want the cleanest-burning 80% furnace York makes.
For our short Central Texas heating season, an 80% furnace is often the rational call: the fuel savings of a condensing unit have fewer cold hours to work with here, so the payback runs long. We'll do that math with you honestly — usage, gas rates, and how long you plan to own the home — rather than defaulting to the biggest AFUE number.
Practical touches carry over from the LX line: hot-surface ignition (no standing pilot burning gas around the clock), a fully insulated cabinet, and a 100% shut-off main gas valve. Note this model installs upflow/horizontal, which we confirm against your mechanical space during the free assessment.
Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits
- Budget-first replacements in homes with existing 80%-class venting and a short heating season to amortize against.
- Buyers who want the lowest-emissions 80% furnace available rather than a standard burner.
- Homes with chimneys or B-vent where switching to condensing venting would add real cost.
Warranty
- York: 20-year heat exchanger limited warranty, 10-year parts limited warranty, and 5-year Complete Assurance limited warranty (with registration).
- MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.
York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.
The honest note
If your home heats frequently or is all-gas, the 95% TL9E burns roughly a sixth less fuel for the same warmth. We'll show you the crossover point for your usage instead of guessing.
From the field
Owning this system in Central Texas
Ultra-low-NOx burners are more sensitive to gas pressure and combustion setup than standard burners, so this furnace benefits disproportionately from proper commissioning — we set and record manifold pressure and temperature rise at install, and re-verify at fall tune-ups.
Because it vents into an existing chimney or B-vent, we inspect the vent condition as part of the quote. A deteriorated liner is the classic hidden cost on 80% replacements; better to price it up front than discover it on install day.
