YORK® product
YORK® TL9E
The TL9E is a 95% AFUE, ENERGY STAR certified single-stage furnace — condensing-tier efficiency in York's value line. It burns roughly a sixth less gas than an 80% unit for the same heat, which matters most in all-gas homes that heat frequently. A solid pick when you want high efficiency without paying for staging you may not need.

YORK® TL9E
The TL9E is a 95% AFUE, ENERGY STAR certified single-stage condensing furnace with York's ultra-low-NOx burner — the design that won the 2020 AHR Expo Innovation Award for heating. It delivers condensing-tier fuel efficiency and the cleanest combustion in York's value line without paying for staging.
Ninety-five percent AFUE means roughly 95 cents of every gas dollar becomes heat in your home instead of going up the flue. Against an aging 80% unit that's a sixth less gas burned for the same warmth — the kind of arithmetic that matters most in all-gas Leander homes that heat regularly through our December-to-February cold fronts.
The compact 33-inch cabinet fits tight closets, the standard ECM blower keeps electrical consumption modest, and hot-surface ignition plus a 100% shut-off gas valve round out the safety package. Installs upflow/horizontal; we verify venting and condensate routing as part of the flat-rate quote.
Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

- Buyers who want high efficiency and low emissions without the cost of two-stage or modulating hardware.
- Replacements where PVC condensing venting is already in place or easy to run.
Warranty
- York: 20-year heat exchanger limited warranty, 10-year parts limited warranty, and 5-year Complete Assurance limited warranty (with registration).

From the field
Owning this system in Central Texas
A condensing furnace makes water — plan for it. The condensate line needs freeze protection on its outdoor run and a clean trap each fall; a clogged trap is the most common no-heat call we see on 90%+ furnaces and it's entirely preventable.
The TL9E's award-winning burner keeps emissions low without a premium gas valve, which also keeps future repair parts simple. Combined with the 20-year heat exchanger coverage, its cost-of-ownership profile is unusually flat — the reason we quote it often for pragmatic buyers.
Where it sits in the line: York's other 95%+ options (TM9E, TM9Y, TM9V) trade the ultra-low-NOx burner for multi-position installation and, higher up, staging and variable airflow. Choose the TL9E when clean combustion and condensing efficiency at a value price are the goals and your equipment closet suits an upflow/horizontal cabinet — we confirm fit during the free assessment.
