YORK® product

YORK® Whole-House Dehumidifier

York's whole-house dehumidifier removes 70–130 pints of moisture per day, controlling humidity independently of cooling — the fix for Central Texas homes that feel sticky at 74 degrees because the AC alone can't wring the air dry in mild weather. Drier air feels cooler, protects wood and finishes, and starves mold of the conditions it needs.

YORK® Whole-House Dehumidifier

York's whole-house dehumidifier removes 70 to 130 pints of moisture per day — model sizes at 70, 95, and 130 pints — and controls humidity independently of cooling. That independence is the whole point: in mild, muggy weather your AC doesn't run long enough to dry the air, which is why so many Central Texas homes feel sticky at 74°.

It integrates with your air handler and drains automatically, so there's no tray to empty and no portable unit rattling in a hallway. Drier air feels cooler at the same thermostat setting — often letting you raise the set point a degree or two and save the energy — while protecting wood, finishes, and closets from the slow damage chronic humidity does.

Mold, dust mites, and bacteria all need moisture; holding indoor humidity in the healthy range starves them of it. We size the unit against your home's measured moisture load, not a square-footage guess.

Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits

  • Homes that feel sticky at normal thermostat settings during mild, humid stretches.
  • Allergy- and mold-sensitive households that need humidity held in the healthy range year-round.
  • Oversized-AC homes whose short cooling cycles never dry the air properly.

Warranty

  • York: 5-year parts limited warranty.
  • MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.

York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.

From the field

Owning this system in Central Texas

We size dehumidifiers against a measured moisture load — house volume, infiltration, occupancy — because an undersized unit runs constantly and an oversized one short-cycles. The 70/95/130-pint spread exists for a reason and square footage alone doesn't pick correctly.

Set the target around 50% relative humidity and let it work: most owners find the AC set point can rise a degree or two once the stickiness is gone, which claws back much of the dehumidifier's operating cost. The condensate drain gets checked at every maintenance visit alongside the AC's.

One pairing note: a dehumidifier complements — not replaces — right-sized cooling. If your AC is oversized and short-cycling, we'll tell you whether fixing the humidity with this unit or addressing the sizing at replacement time is the smarter sequence. Sometimes the honest answer is “both, in that order,” and we'll put the numbers behind it.
