YORK® product
YORK® YC2F
The YC2F steps the YC2 platform up to 17.5 SEER2 with ENERGY STAR certification — a meaningful efficiency gain for homes that run cooling eight months a year, as most of the Leander corridor does. It keeps single-system simplicity while cutting run cost versus builder-grade units. We'll show you the payback math against the entry tier before you commit, flat-rate and in writing.

Factory-authorized
YORK® YC2F
The YC2F takes the same durable platform as the YC2E and buys real efficiency with it: 15.2 SEER2 nominal, up to 17.5 SEER, and ENERGY STAR certification. In a Leander home that runs cooling from March to October, the gap between a 14.3 and a 15.2+ SEER2 unit is not a rounding error — it shows up on every summer electric bill for the life of the system.
There's a detail York doesn't put on the sticker: the larger YC2F sizes (3.5 to 5 tons) get two-stage performance, while the smaller sizes are single-stage. If your Manual J lands in that upper range, you're effectively getting staged cooling — longer low-speed runs, quieter operation, and meaningfully better humidity removal — at a mid-tier price. That's one of the better quiet bargains in York's current lineup.
The swept-wing fan design keeps sound down to 72 dBA, and the steel-extruded louver guards protect the coil from mowers, hail, and dogs — small things that matter over fifteen Texas summers.
Every install starts with a free in-home assessment and a flat written price — no surprises. Call 512-528-4258 or request service online.

Who this model fits
- All-electric or high-runtime homes where the efficiency step over the entry tier pays for itself within a few cooling seasons.
- Larger homes (3.5–5 ton loads) that get the two-stage variant — the best comfort-per-dollar spot in this line.
- Owners who want ENERGY STAR certification for utility rebate eligibility.
Warranty
- York: 10-year compressor limited warranty and 10-year parts limited warranty (with registration).
- MLD Services: lifetime workmanship warranty — if our install or repair work ever fails, we make it right.
York's extended warranty terms require online registration within 90 days of installation — otherwise parts coverage reverts to 5 years. We register every unit we install as part of the job, so you never have to think about it.
From the field
Owning this system in Central Texas
If your load calc lands at 3.5 tons or above, ask us to confirm you're getting the two-stage variant — that detail changes how we set indoor airflow (lower CFM-per-ton on low stage for better dehumidification) and it's worth verifying on the submittal, not assuming.
The ENERGY STAR label makes this tier the sweet spot for utility rebate programs in our area; incentives change quarter to quarter, so we check the current programs at quote time and include the paperwork in the install.
