The YZT is York's Affinity two-stage heat pump: 18+ SEER2 cooling (up to 19 SEER) with 8.1 HSPF2 heating (up to 10.0 HSPF), ENERGY STAR certified, with the QuietDrive package holding sound to 66 dBA. Its low stage handles the bulk of Central Texas hours efficiently; full output stands by for July peaks and February freezes.
It's communications-capable: wired conventionally it's an excellent two-stage unit, but paired with the Hx3 it self-commissions, reports faults, and exposes live system status at the unit, the thermostat, or the app — data our technicians read on every maintenance visit. Demand defrost skips unnecessary winter defrost cycles, and Climate Set lets us tune operation for our humid profile when matched with a variable-speed indoor unit.
Like the rest of the Affinity tier, the compressor carries a lifetime limited warranty on registered units — York's strongest statement of confidence in the hardware, and a real factor in cost-of-ownership math.
