The YZV is York's premium variable-capacity heat pump — 19+ SEER2 (up to 21 SEER) cooling, 9.0 HSPF2 (up to 10.75 HSPF) heating, ENERGY STAR Most Efficient qualified — and in our climate it's the strongest single-system answer we install. It modulates continuously to the exact load, so temperature and humidity barely drift through eight-month cooling seasons, then heats efficiently through our short winters.
The engineering support is substantive: Charge Assurance gives a direct performance readout at commissioning so refrigerant charge is verified rather than assumed; Climate Set tunes operation for humid Central Texas air; demand defrost skips wasted winter cycles; and the QuietDrive system keeps it at 54 dBA — dishwasher territory. It can even run dual-fuel with a York gas furnace, switching heat sources automatically on economics.
As a communicating flagship it wants the full matched system — AVV or JMVT indoor unit, Hx3 control — and commissioning against York's spec.
